Hi Opt
Also called the Einstein Count.
Hi Optim Program
Hi Opt 1
Hi-Opt I is relatively simple 1st level balanced strategy developed by Lance Humble and Carl Cooper. This strategy was built on the Einstein count developed by Charles Einstein in the late 60's. It is a version of Hi-Opt (highly optimum) counting systems designed for use by more advanced blackjack players. Blackjack Hi-Opt 2 Count Strategy As with all card-counting systems, this demands constant attention and focus on the table. However, as this one is a two level count, as some of the cards are valued as 2, this system is not recommended for the players that can lose concentration easily. Hi-Opt II – A more complex, Level 2, balanced strategy developed by Lance Humble and Julian Braun. Found to be more powerful than even some Level 3 card counting strategies. (See Blackjack Attack.) Hi-Opt II can be found in the proprietary HiOpt II Report.
The Hi-Opt card counting system was developed by Julian Braun and Lance Humble and published in Humble’s The World Greatest Blackjack Book. The Hi-Opt I counting system has 3-6 as +1 with 10’s and face cards as -1. The ace and all other cards are counted as 0. As a balanced system the running count must also be converted to the true count and the total value of a deck is 0.

The Hi-Opt I (Opt as in “optimal”) is usually used by advanced and professional players who want more accuracy then the Hi-Lo counting system can provide. The system is somewhat more difficult to learn, but most players find the extra effort worthwhile.
