Each axis of the grid is accompanied by the numbers 0 through 9, which represent the scores of the football game you’re watching. How Do You Win?
As is the case with the traditional game, MyBookie’s squares contest will ultimately pay out 4 winners for each game. The person whose square has the correct last number of each team’s score at the end of each of the game’s 4 quarters will win. For example, if your square includes both the number 4 on the Titans side and the number 3 on the Chiefs side, you will win if the score at the end of a given quarter is 14-3, 24-13, 34-33 or any similar combination. The only requirement is that the Titans’ score contains a 4 as the last digit, while the Chiefs’ score has to contain a 3 in this particular example.
The squares you choose to purchase are your squares for the entire game. So, don’t call it a day if you don’t happen to cash in on any of your squares after the first quarter. You will still have another 3 chances to win.
The prize pools are a bit different for each quarter, however. MyBookie’s contest makes it so that 20 percent of the entire prize pool is paid out at the end of each quarter. The person holding the winning square at the end of the game is the big winner. The fourth quarter winner earns the remaining 40 percent of the prize pool.
Let’s use our aforementioned example again. There is a prize pool of $2,000 for the 100-square contest with an entry fee of $24. That means the winner at the end of each of the game’s first three quarters will win $400. The square that accounts for the game’s final score nets an $800 top prize. Obviously, the prize pools vary depending on how big the entry fee is for that particular contest. The prize pool for the $115-per-entry game is significantly higher than the prize pool for the $0.75-per-entry contest.
There is no limit on the number of times a single person can win. While incredibly unlikely, it’s not impossible for the same person to win the prize in all 4 quarters. All 100 squares do not need to fill in order for a contest to run, as planned.
