When you make your first deposit at Bovada, you’ll automatically qualify for a 100% up to $500 poker bonus – with no bonus code needed. When you go through the depositing process, you’ll have your choice between several casino and sports bonuses. But whichever of them you choose, you’ll also be credited with the poker bonus as a matter of course.

How to Earn the Bovada Poker Bonus

Unlike at many other internet poker sites, Bovada doesn’t issue you bonus payments at the same rate until you clear the entire sum. Rather, there are certain points targets you must achieve, and whenever you hit one of these numbers, you’ll get a bonus credit that’s a different size each time. Take a look at the chart below to see how many points you need to collect for each tier and the corresponding bonus reward:

You have 30 days from the time of your deposit to gather as many poker points as you can. Whenever you amass enough of them to unlock the next segment of your bonus, the money will hit your real money balance instantly. There’s no need to complete any other playthrough obligations once this free bonus cash appears; it will be completely unrestricted.

Poker points are awarded in sit-n-goes and tournaments at a rate of 3 for every $1 in fees you pay. In cash games, the speed at which you accumulate points will depend in large part on the stakes you play and your personal playing style. It’s all tied into the amount of rake you contribute in every hand as follows:

  • $0.01 – $0.04 rake: 0.05 points
  • $0.05 – $0.24 rake: 0.10 points
  • $0.25 – $0.49 rake: 0.25 points
  • $0.50 – $0.99 rake: 0.50 points
  • $1.00 – $3.00 rake: 1.00 points

Bovada Recurring Promotions

The welcome bonus of 100% up to $500 and the profit you make at the tables are just a couple of components of your bankroll growth at Bovada. In addition, you’ll also be able to partake in a few promotions that are open to every player:

Points to Tickets

The poker points that you gather while trying to earn your bonus have another purpose as well. You can save them up and then trade them in for complimentary tourney entries. The tickets range from $2.20 – $270, so there’s something for high-rollers as well as newbies. All poker points become invalid after a year and a half of account inactivity, so don’t forget to use them up before you leave.

$100 RAF Bonus

If you start to play at Bovada Poker and think it’s excellent, then why not share it with your friends? For everyone who signs up with the company by following your own personal affiliate tracking link, you’ll get a bonus of 200% up to $100 on the money that person deposits. You must play enough to gather 6 poker points per dollar of this bonus before the sum is considered yours to keep.

Bovada Cashier

Bovada sports promotions

Putting money into your account and being able to cash it out successfully are two of the foremost concerns for every poker fan. While the list of cashier methods at Bovada.lv isn’t extensive, each processor has been chosen for its convenience and reliability. For deposits, you can choose from:

And withdrawals are paid out via:

You’ll notice one option that’s supported both for deposits and payouts: the digital crypto-currency Bitcoin. In general, this is the best way to move money around online for poker. It has quite reasonable fees, and it allows you to avoid delays when it’s time to request your money. Other withdrawal channels come with significant fees at Bovada, apart from one free cashout every 90 days, but Bitcoin transfers are always free.

Stakes Available

For cash game enthusiasts, Bovada spreads NLHE, PLO, and PLO/8 from $0.02/$0.05 all the way up to $10/$20. Limit Hold’em and Limit Omaha-8 are also offered as high as $30/$60. If you’d rather play sit n’ go’s, then you’ll be pleased by the range of games from $1 + $0.05 up to $200 + $14. Multi-table tournaments are denominated across a broad spectrum of buyins. The most inexpensive competitions in the normal roster require you to pay just $1 + $0.10 while the most costly will set you back $250 + $20. However, bigger MTTs occur sporadically particularly as part of a series.

Bovada Selling Points

Rather than just copying what some other firm is doing, the poker room at Bovada is a rather unique platform. Some of the things that you can look forward to are:

Anonymized Gameplay

No personally identifying information is shown about any customer at the Bovada tables. Instead, people are labeled “Player 1,” “Player 2,” “Player 3,” and so on. This lets you play however you want without having to worry about anybody tracking your game over a long period of time. Although a few pros bemoan the fact that their favorite database and HUD tools don’t work here, for the average player, this creates a comfortable poker environment. It’s no coincidence that Bovada is known to have some of the softest games on the internet.

Zone Poker

If regular cash game poker is too slow for your tastes, then jump into the brisk action of Zone Poker. There are no static tables or seats in Zone. Instead everyone is constantly moving around because whenever anyone folds a hand, they’re transported within a few seconds to another table to start a new hand. You can see hundreds of hands per hour in a Zone pool – perfect if you’re trying to clear your 100% up to $500 bonus. NL Hold’em Zone reaches up to $1/$2 while PLO players can join up to $0.10/$0.25.

Mobile Poker

With your smartphone or tablet, you can log into the Bovada mobile poker room and play whatever cash games you want, including Zone. It’s compatible with iOS, Android, and really almost every other mobile operating system because it uses a web-based interface rather than a downloadable app. Unfortunately, tournaments and SNGs are not present on the Bovada mobile solution.

Hand Histories With All Hole Cards Shown

24 hours after a hand finishes, you can download the hand history for it, and you’ll be able to see what the other players’ cards were! This is made possible by the anonymous features of Bovada, which permit you to view this information without gaining an unfair insight on how any other individual plays.

$100,000 Guaranteed

Every Sunday at 4:00 p.m. ET, Bovada hosts the $100,000 Guaranteed event. It costs $150 + $12 to enter, but you don’t have to pay full price. There are satellites running throughout the week, and some of them have buyins as low as $1. Whether you’re a baller or a rookie, this tourney is for you.

MTT Series

$100K is a lot of dough, but Bovada recognizes that there are some who want the opportunity to play for much more. Therefore, the site runs several tourney series throughout the year, including the Black Diamond Poker Open and the Golden Spade Poker Open. Whenever one of these series appears on the schedule, get ready to test yourself in many formats of poker and compete for your share of millions in prize money.

Bovada Poker Welcome Bonus 100% Match Up to $500

Bovada welcomes all poker players into the fold with a welcome bonus worth as much as $500. All you have to do to claim the bonus is be a first-time customer who joins Bovada by registering a new, valid account. Then, make a deposit. The minimum deposit at Bovada is $20. The bonus available to you will be equal to that amount, so if you deposit $20, you’ll have a $20 bonus available, and if you deposit $500 or more, you’ll have the maximum bonus of $500 available to you. Finally, download and install the Bovada poker client for Windows, Linux or Mac.

Run the client, and begin playing your preferred style of poker. That’s all there is to it. There’s no need to use a code or lock in the bonus because poker bonuses work differently than casino bonuses. The house doesn’t give you the bonus all at once but rather doles it out to you pre-cleared as you play hands in cash games and tournaments. Note that this bonus is the same regardless of your chosen payment method. Bovada does offer a Bitcoin-specific bonus but that currently only applies to the sportsbook and casino and cannot be used at the poker room.

How do I earn the Bovada Poker bonus?

Whenever you claim a poker bonus at Bovada, that money is available to you but not automatically awarded to you, you must earn the bonus money.

In addition, a claimed poker bonus will only be available for a set period of time. In the case of the welcome bonus described above, that period is 30 days. Therefore, if you deposited $50 and claimed a $50 bonus, you’d have 30 days to claim that $50. At the end of that period, you’d keep what you earned but forfeit any outstanding bonus.

In the Bovada poker client, you can examine your active poker bonuses at any time, and the user interface will display the total size of the bonus, how much of the bonus you’ve earned, how much of the bonus is outstanding and how long you have left to claim the remaining bonus.

The house doles out your poker bonus over levels, and there can be as many as six levels depending on how big your available bonus is. Your current level is based on the Poker Points you’ve earned. Poker Points or PP are a rewards/loyalty currency that we’ll discuss in more detail in an upcoming section. For now, all you need to know is that you earn PP each time you participate in a cash game or pay a tournament fee. Note that PP aren’t consumed during the process of clearing your bonus; they’re just used in this context to measure your participation. At 15 PP earned, you are at level one and receive $5 in bonus money. At 85, you are at level two and receive $20 or whatever you have remaining. Then, it’s $25 at 185; $50 at 500; $150 at 1,500; and finally, $250 at 5,000.

How do I earn Bovada Poker Points?

Bovada awards all players Poker Points as they play hands of poker. Note that this currency is different than Rewards Points, which are awarded for sports wagers and casino bets. You earn Poker Points whenever you participate in a ring game or a cash tournament. During a ring game, you’ll earn between 0.05 and one point each time the pot is raked and depending on your contribution to that rake. You generally earn one point per dollar raked.

For cash games, you can refer to the below chart:

When it comes to tournaments, you receive three points for each dollar spent in tournament fees. For instance, if you entered a tourney with a $50 buy-in and a $5 fee, you’d earn 3 x 5 = 15 Poker Points.

Poker Points never expire as long as you remain active, which amounts to logging in. Once you’ve reached 18 months of inactivity across all Bovada services, your points expire and are lost for good. Poker Points at Bovada are used to cover tournament buy-ins and fees. The points you earn are applied to your account immediately, and you can use those points as soon as you have enough. Enough means having the points to cover the total cost of a buy-in and any fees. You can mix and match Poker Points and cash. Any tournament that has a paid buy-in can be accessed with points. In addition, there are some Poker Point-only events, such as a weekly $5K tournament, which have qualifiers you can enter for as little as 25 Poker Points, or you can spend as much as 1,000 for a main seat.

Ultimately, if you were only playing tournaments, you would have to spend $1,666.67 in tournament fees to earn the full $500 cash back bonus, which calculates to a 30% rakeback refund, which is a nice return on your poker frees.

If you’re enjoying Bovada Poker and want to get your friends in on the action, you can benefit from that referral. Send any friend a direct link to your referral page, or use Facebook and Twitter integration to invite people throughout your network in a more casual, less direct manner. When a friend joins and makes his or her first deposit, you receive a bonus worth 200 percent of that deposit up to $100. That means a friend only need deposit $50 for you to max the bonus out, and there’s no limit to how many times you can claim this bonus.

Bovada Promotions

You can use the bonus however you please. If your friend joins and deposits $25 to play slots, you get a $50 bonus that can be used anywhere: poker, casino, sportsbook and so forth. The wagering requirement does depend on how you use the bonus. We’ll focus solely on using it for poker since poker players are who this review is geared toward. You need to earn six Poker Points per bonus dollar, so 600 PP if your referral gets you the maximum bonus.

Unique Bovada Poker Features

Below are some of the unique features of the Bovada poker client that sets it apart from most other online poker rooms.

Feature: Quick Seat

Quick seating is an option at Bovada that places you at a cash table with as little fuss as possible. The lobby for this feature is extremely streamlined, and with preferences set, you can get into a game with just two mouse clicks.

Bovada

Feature: Anonymous Tables

When you play at Bovada’s anonymous tables, no one knows who you are. You start with a clean slate each time. This is a great feature if you worry about other players zeroing in on your tendencies or just want some privacy.

Bovada No Deposit Bonus Codes

Feature: Zone Poker

Zone poker is poker played at breakneck speed, and it’s available across any poker formats for which Bovada supports ring games. The goal of this approach is to eliminate as much downtime as possible. As soon as you fold or the hand ends, the system immediately moves you to a new table where the deal is about to happen. The dealing mechanism does wait until the table is full, but with Texas Hold’em, for instance, you’ll never notice. This format is an excellent option when you have a limited amount of time and want to cram in as much poker as possible.

Bovada Poker Bonus Code 2020

Love Bovada!

Bovada Sports Promotions

I tried playing at ACR and I kept getting kicked out of tournaments - their poker network is constantly getting spammed and attacked, which shuts down all the poker games! It happens constantly. Bovada is much more stable and also has great tournaments so I switched over. Much better! Thanks.
